Tanzu SQL with Postgres is 100% open source software based on the PostgreSQL source code published at http://www.postgresql.org and other open source software from the PostgreSQL community.

Tanzu SQL with Postgres packages a collection of 100% open source software to help you deploy and manage one or more instances of the PostgreSQL database on Kubernetes. It includes the following components:

  • pgBackRest – reliable backup and restore for PostgreSQL.
  • pg_auto_failover – flexible and easy to use High Availability solution for PostgreSQL.

PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source object-relational database system that has more than 15 years of active development.
